Regional Caribbean Public Accounts Committees and Trade Scrutiny Workshop

From 27 - 29 February 2024, CPA UK in partnership with the Parliament of Trinidad & Tobago, will host a regional workshop on the work of Public Accounts Committees and parliamentary trade scrutiny. 

Bringing together committee Chairs, Members and clerks, this workshop will facilitate peer-to-peer discussions on how to enhance effective scrutiny of government spending and trade policy. It will aim to discuss the challenges to parliamentary oversight and come up with solutions and techniques for effective committee inquiries. Participants will also have the opportunity to strengthen their networks and build their contacts in the areas of public financial scrutiny and trade, in the UK and the Caribbean.

CPA UK is looking for 3-4 Members from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords to join the delegation. To apply, please complete this form  by Friday 1st December.
